the old school way of pumping the brake pedal isnt very good and could damage your master cylinder..i rec. the mighty vac...that swedish ***** inlarger might work too..

If you have a friend that can help, it can be done pretty quickly. You don't need to spend extra cash on the above items.

The absolute easiest way to do it is with a buddy on the side. 2 people get the job done right a lot faster than you can w/ the bleeder system.

ITR-Animal: I use a vacuum system that's connected to a compressor. Expensive but works damned well. Otherwise, I just have someone pump the brakes while I do the bleeder screw.

The "old school" way is the best way (and I've gone through hell trying to bleed the ITR system - trust me) if done right. You're absolutely right that one could damage the seals in the master cylinder if you press the pedal ALL the way in during the bleed. However, it's a mistake to do so anyway.

My best combo : old method + one way bleeder (a.k.a speed bleeder), fast and seems to work well. Be careful, as some bleeders do leak along the threads. A little plumbers tape on the thread fixes it right up.

I've read the pressure bleeders tend to cause aeration and hence introduce bubbles into the system. I'm not sure if this is true or not.
