Default Autox/Roadracing 1st gen crxs

Ive been autcrossing a 92 miata for the past year and i was wondering how the crx does in its classes. I recently picked up a 1g dx(std) with a blown motor and was hoping to throw something in it to have some fun. Only problem is that im not sure on where i would stand if i had a fuel injected motor. Carbed motors are a pain to find. In autox where would I be placed with a stock motor or a single or dual cam fi motor(from those same years.

Before you do anything check the condition of the panhard mount on the frame. These have been known to rust and when they come apart the rear gets very "loose".

But the car does very well in street prepared. You could install the 85-87 CRX Si FI engine and tranny and be off to a good start. A 86 Civic Si has been the National champ car for the last 11 years in E Prepared. You could just buy this (https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=758113) and remove some of the cage (to get weight down) and run E Prepared.
