Default 3" muffler's for custom exhaust...what sounds good?

I'm ditching my current setup 2.25" Dc sports midpipe and Greddy evo rearsection combo in search of a good 3" setup. I was going to order the piping from http://www.kteller.com , but I'm not sure what muffler to go with. What are your suggestions and does anybody have any sound clips?

Magnaflow 3" is the way to go
I don't have soundclips but I can tell you it is very deep and I get compliments on the sound all the time (from people that appreciate turbocharged cars that is)

the apex n1 has always been proven for good flow/power.

would look alright on your car.

might be kinda loud if you mind that,
and a bit on the played out side of things.

then theres all sorts of magnaflow mufflers out there.

PERSONALLY i'd just get some cheap universal muffler,
magnaflow does make those too though, which cant hurt.

personally I find alot of the magnaflows TOO lowkey, visually.

if your running a high power turbo car, you can get away with a big shiny muffler.

I'd like something with a smaller tip than my Evo...shouldn't be too hard to find. That thing is huge!!!

I ordered my piping from Kteller, I also got the 3" n1 from him too, It sounds great and looks awesome. I emailed him pics of the finshed product, maybe you can ask him to email you the pics or I could ask him to post them here.

3" in 3" out magnaflow oval style. 3" from downpipe back.
deep tone (love it). a lil loud for me b/c i have no interior
(rear seats, panels, carpet, sound deadening tar). i'll try to
record it from the outside, and post it up here....

I think the magnaflow looks pretty dope. The N1 looks like any generic ricer pick-a-muffler from pepboys.

I love mine. Sounds awesome, fits nicely, screams at vtec, polished, nice tip, 3" in/out, somewhat inexpensive.

But what about normal driven. Is it loud then when drive normal or do you have to turn your sterio up to like 50 just to hear it?

I dont think its loud. I dont have interior (well, carpet but no panels)....no factory sound deadening either.
Fawkin screams when vtec hits though, I love it.

i have noticed a lot of 3" exhaust turbo cars run an HKS carbon-ti or something similar in their lineup. i hear these mufflers are very quiet and also sound good. any hks owners care to comment?

Go to a muffler shop and just buy a $25-30 muffler.....i should have done that instead of spent $75 on a magnaflow. waste of money IMO. Kteller's exhausts look amazing though. really easy to figure out how to weld

I have been doing a lil reserching and some people say put one like this halfway back. And it should be very quiet. Is this one that you would use also?

what other 3 inch in and out laternatives are there?

magnaflow's website has some great video clips of various exhausts on other cars. (i like the subaru's)

also, ar eresonators really restrictive? or is it just something not to worry about
