I used to race RC back in my school daze. I couldn't keep up with the f'ing money pit it was, in the STOCK class.
Example: Stock class motors were limited to $25 in cost. You HAD to have a new one for every race or you were not able to keep up. This was just one of the many things to make it a lot more than meets the eye.
Hmm, reminds me a little of Spec Miata. (Cheap to run, but not anywhere near the front).
