I am currently in the process of doing a swap 91 b18a into my 91 hatch.. i was wondering how fast it would be.....any ideas on what i should do first for upgrades.....

 

i say high 14's to low 15's quarter mile.

i would turbo that biaatch, LS motors are good for boost

 

Well i ran a 9.3 in the 1/8th with just i/h/e...so if its done right then it can be fast as hell. Mine was in a crx though...full interior. I think that i shoulda been in the mid 14's.

I did a 95 b18b swap into a gutted 90si. I wasnt to impressed. My full interior 90si with i/h/cat/e, bored tb with some head work and a cam (still cheaper than my $2500 swap) is just as fast. I loved the torque of the LS, but I cant say it was that fast stock. Does it have more potential? Sure. If I had a choice of another B swap or turboing my D series. I wouldnt give another thought to the B. The best part about turbo D series is that you can find spare engines for cheap or free (Ive got 4 in my garage for free...a sohc zc, 2 A6's, and a B15)
