CAI positioning
In terms of the positioning of the piping for CAIs (ie., the bit that goes into the fender) does it matter if the car is LHD or RHD? I got a RHD DC5 Type-R and was wondering if I get a CAI (AEM or Injen) obviously designed to fit a RSX Type-S and its LHD will it also fit the Type-R?
When I was installing the CAI on my Type S, my friends and I noticed that(at least with the Type S' chassis) that there were unused threaded holes that corresponded to used ones on the other side. Basically we thought that the actual chassis was made for right or left hand drive. So IMO you shouldn't have any fitment problems. That's not to say it won't happen, but that's just my thoughts on that.
IF you have a type-r you might have probs with fitment becuase of the brake ducts it wont fit with them in the way you need to remove the driver(in your case passenger) side brake ducts and the intake will fit no prob
Thx all for your responses.
Indeed the DC5 Type-R is not officially available here in the UK but there are a lot of companies here that are importing them from Japan to sell here as they are very sought after.

if u want to keep the duct. u can actually notch out a little bit of the duct piece that touches the intake. i did this and kept the duct. it was also like ram air. i don't think it made a difference though.
