D Series Tranny Questions
No. The 92'+ trannies have different motor mount points on top of being hydro, not cable. The cable part is fixable, but the mounts would just be dumb to fab-up.
so what kind of trans should i look for for a sohc zc motor. Its for a friend, so im lost with this EF stuff, im a EG guy.
if the motor is in an EF then use any cable D series tranny. basically anything out of an 88-91 civic, crx, and 2wd wagon. yep that sums it up i think. oh yea
if the car is and 88 you can only use and 88 tranny with the 88 flywheel. 89-91 you can mix around. if you already have the tranny off upgrade to a 90-91 clutch and flywheel. (more surface area=more grabbing ability)
