Front motor mount bolt size? Is mine right?
Today I replaced the cracked front mount on my 90 CRX Si and I noticed while I had all the parts out that the bolt is considerably smaller than the mounting sleeve in the bushing... probably 1-2mm of space in between the bolt and the wall of the sleeve. Can anyone confirm that this is normal? I'm wondering if one of that last owners did a bang up job on replacing it at some time.
Please don't respond with guesses, just let me know if you've actually removed the mount and noticed this or something different. I'll have the mount out again next week for my ES mount inserts so I want to correct it then if needed. Thanks in advance!

was it 17mm? or smaller did it have the stock nut on the end. youll know its stock because it has a little thing sticking about about 1 inch to keep it from turning while you tighten the bolt. does the bolt look newer than the rest on ur car?

It DOES have that little locking pin which confuses the hell outta me... the head of the bolt and nut are both 17mm, and the bolt looks like it belongs to a 13 year old car. What I don't know however, is if the front mount had been replaced once prior to me replacing it this time, and if so, had Honda changed the bolt/sleeve size?
It really doesn't seem like the bolt should just float in the middle of a mount like that, in fact, when I removed the mount to replace, there was no force required. I mean the bolts were tight, but the main bolt just slid right out after loosening. Didn't have to twist the engine around, hammer the bolt or anything.

Went to Honda and talked to their suspension and parts guys today, the bolt is normally smaller, although they didn't know why.
