What motor/transmission? It depends on the Shift linkage which depends on the motor/tranny.

thats what i thought. but when i shift its like hard to get in gear. bad installation maybe? what can it be. well 1st goes in fine 2nd fine but 3rd when u try to downshift it'll be hard to go in and when it does it grinds sometimes in 4th also. its not the tranny. tranny is good with no grinds.

just a guess but maybe the bolt holding the shifter to the shift rod is to tight. whith the engine off or on and clutch in does the shifter seem stiff or harder to move compared to before the install? if so loosen the nut/bolt holding the shifter to the shift rod.
