I just bought this clip yesterday and noticed that the hood is raised in the middle, but on my US '89 CRX Si the hood dips down in the middle. Does this mean that when I put the b16 in my US CRX, that it will hit my hood? I also thought about switching hoods, but to me, it looks as if the JDM clip has "longer" headlights than my car. Is this correct? I can't tell, because my US CRX is at my uncles house in central California(where the timing belt broke and the laughing stopped), and my JDM front clip is here in L.A. with me in my living room
If I switch hoods I'm concerned that there will be a big gap between my hood and headlights. Is another solution to get aftermarket motor mounts? I planned on just using the mounts that came with the clip...... The thing I'm really excited about, is this clip came with an automatic climate control system. It looks cool... In my car(US) the A/C and heater have been out since I bought it, so I'm really looking foward to that..... Also, when I want to order engine parts(headers, adj. cam gears, oversized pulleys, timing belt, water pump etc..) what car do I say I have? The engine is a B16A gen 1. Thanks for any replies. PEACE OUT!

just put the whole front end on your crx. It all bolts on (fenders, bumper, lights, hood) but you have to use it all. I'm pretty sure that you cant use the SiR hood with the USDM front.
You cant use the motor mounts that came with it, the SiR bays are a lot different than ours. you gotta get a mount kit.
To get replacement parts you can order stuff from a 94-97 del sol VTEC (not the Si) or from a 99-00 civic Si.
I dunno about the climate control thing but if it is the digital looking one then there is a LOT more to it than just the display. Look here >> http://www.ef-honda.com/main/v...imate

from what ive read the b16 rubbing on the hood is pretty much chance. it depends on what condition you car is in and what condition the mounts are in. there have been people on here with b16 that never came close to the hood but some with the same setups who have almost rubbed a hole through the valve cover. in most cases some webbing can be cut from the hood to clear the valve cover. i also dont really understand your question. if you use the whole jdm front including the hood you will have no rubbing problems. if you stick with the us hood then you MIGHT have problems. you cannot mix the hoods between the front ends unless you change the headlights and rad support as well. you can also get a SiR cf hood that works with your usdm front end and clears the B. i think the price of that hood is pretty close to the price of the whole conversion. decide for yourself.

Thank you for all the replies. I kind of wanted to keep my US front end. To me, it looks better. I bought the clip mainly for the engine, because I thought(wrongly?) that since everything was there(motor mounts etc.) in half a car; that I could just transfer everything directly to my car. Wishful thinking I guess. The climate control and leather wrapped steering wheel were just added bonuses. On my JDM clip the passanger-side front fender is smashed. Thanks again.

If you're interested in swapping on the JDM hood, then you won't absolutely need the fenders - you can use your stock fenders and corner markers. All you need to use the hood are the JDM hood, headlights, radiator support, bumper cover, and and bumper lenses.

B20, B18, and B16B all have the same deck height. B16A has a 7mm shorter deck height.
