Question About King Motorsports Dyno For Mugen H/E
I am talking about this one here: http://www.kingmotorsports.com/images/dyno/b18c.gif
Now, as I understand it correctly, they used the factory intake. The only change here is the Mugen Header + Exhaust. Does that appear like WHP or crank HP? The reason I ask, the figures seem way too high for WHP (~203) and way too low for crank hp, which is 200 @ 8400 rpm for our ITRs. No way the Mugen H/E made only 3 additional HP, but if you look at the white curve, that appears to be the factory figures, which is 200 HP, so maybe +3 Crank HP is all you get there.
Just curious, if anyone knows what's going on here.

I always thought it was 195 @ 8000 rpms, and 200 @ 8400 rpms. But the latter may only apply to JDM ITRs. In that case, we're talking about an 8HP gain. For $2000, that may go down as the worst ever bang-for-buck bolt-on in history!
I totally agree.. Not the best bang for the buck... But if you have the extra money lying around... its really a pretty nice piece.
If you are going to buy the Mugen header, make sure you get the JDM version that have the 2.5" collector. You won't see too much gain with just I/H/E, but if you go with bigger cams later on, you will see the full potential of the JDM Mugen header.
