Default Camber, Toe, Etc.

New to this so bear with me. Excuse me if i get long winded.

Have a 94 civic coupe and installing GC coilovers (450 front/ 500 rear), Koni yellows, Skunk2 front camber arms and sprint rear camber arms. Ther car is still a daily driver till Sep-Oct. Have 215/45/16 on the car right now and thinking of setting the camber at -0.50/0.75 front and -0.25/0.50 rear. +/-0 toe. Here is my ? Have a set of 14" wheels and going to get 225/50/14 tires. When i change the wheels and tires at the track, was planning to adjust the coils to drop the car on down to fit snug on the 14's thus increaseing camber. Then raise it back up to fit the 16's for everyday. Mark the coils for both the 16's and 14's so that i have a constant. The local shop i go to said that i will change toe every time i do this. Is this right?? What other problem would this cause. I know everyone has there own setup, but what have you experienced.

The only advice I can offer is to buy a caster/camber gauge as well as a toe in gauge if you don't already have them. That way you can be sure that everything is square.

every time you lower the car the toe will change. if your running skunk2 arms, dont worry about lowering the car for more camber. but if you realy want to do that, put your race wheels on and get the car set-up the way you like as far as camber, toe and ride height. then raise it for the 16's.

ps-gc's dont go up very easy against the spring w/o a wrench that they ensist isn't necessary. and since there aluminum, they dont like to be hit with a hammer and screw driver noo often

Was going to do the adjustments when i changed to tires. That's where the set marks come into play on the coilovers. 16"- just line it up/ 14"- line it up, etc. Was going to set everything for the 16's, then put on the 14" and adjust. Take it back to the shop and get readings. No adjustment and just see what has changed. Will see. Thanks for the info.
