Default people with slammed cars, alignment help tire wear?

my car has like no gap on 205/50/15 w/LS mesh's. sitting right at it or maybe slightly tucked. how much would a good alignment help with the tire wear.

some say you need a camber kit, some say that the tires wear out b/c the toe/caster is off so bad...the 15" tires arent that expensive. so i think i might be good just to get the alignment.

from my experience, you should get a alignment becuz TOE will kill the tire life were negative camber can be good for handling, civics camber is a lil negative anyway. so some negative camber is ok. any TOE is not good

I've got about 3000 miles (including about 80 miles of track time) and see no noticable wear. I'm not all that slammed tho. I have about -1.4* camber front and about -1.8* rear. Toe is set as close to zero as they could get it.

as long as you aren't drastically low you should be fine with just a good alignment and having your toe set to 0. Toe is what really eats your tires up.

ive seen cars with caster problems and had no wear.. toe is the mail prob.. but with toe and camber combine.. it really kills your tire.. if it is 20 bucks for a toe_in.. then get it.. it is worth it.. if u got the money get a camber kit.. so they can do both

obviously a camber kit will help... youll have to get an alignment after the instal anyways... but then your wheels can be set back to 0 all around and no weird wear... im just tring to skip the camber kit on my 96 hatch... rear can easily be done with the washer trick for free... front is just $$ though...

and i have a turbo sohc... so traction tends to become an issue causing more than average tire wear.

i went through a set of front tires (stockers, and then 195/55/15 michelin's and 205/50/15 kumho ecsta 712's on LS mesh) every 6 months or so when i had my car at -3.5". but that was without an alignment. i'm at about 2.5" drop now, got my toe corrected, no camber kit still... no unusual wear for 9 months on 205/40/17 parada spec-2's. its partially the new compound and the raised height, but being used to replacing tires every 6 months i'm glad to see that these tires look like they can get another year or two out of them.

get the toe done and see how it goes.
