What clutch to use for a ZC?
I know that engine parts from the 87-89 integra were the same as the ZC, i have a 1989 CRX si with a ZC motor and in bad need of a new clutch, however i cannot order anything untill i know what clutch i need to get, the CRX si and the 89 integra have different model numbers for the clutch.
get it for the d16a6, depending on which trans AND flywheel you are using
88 had different spline count than 89+
88/89 have same diameter clutch
90+ has a larger diameter clutch than 88/89

TheZC clutch is the same as the same Si for that year, You need to know the size of the Clutch, 1988 is an oddbal year transmission My 89 ZC engine had the same clutch as the 90-91 Civic Si, But except for the 1988 that is determined by the flywheel you have. Its NOT an integra unit. Not if its the 88-91 DOHC ZC BLACKTOP, a brownt top then maybe. But you really need to measure it to be sure. I guess not all 89 ZC engines have the larger clutch, mine did. But certainly all 90-91 engines do or should anyway.
i'm using the si tranny off a D16A6, so youre saying to get it for the CRX si? ok, so clutch does not matter on the engine but the trans youre using? wow i learn something new every day
yes, get it for the year Si you had. it goes with the flywheel year, except for 1988 being an odd spline count. then it goes with transmission year.
1989 typicly being a smaller clutch and 90-91 being the large one for the domestic cars.
1989-91 having a common spline count, but 89 being smaller diameter, 1988 has a different spline count. and the smaller clutch
