they got riding mowers with cams and gears. damn. more money in those mowers than in my integra.

 

pretty much just front engined karts, no?

 

they range from stock lawn riding mowers with the blades removed.. to beasty 5sp mowers 40-45 HP. one of them has been clocked at 91mph.

Only rednecks from the South, who are all related to each other, watch US lawnmower racing. The set up their lawnmovers to only turn left...

European lawnmover racers on real "lawns" are the only real racing. They have to be able to turn left and right equally well!

They mostly looked like 4WD Peugeots to me. The Travel Channel is what my wife mostly watches, though I think she couldn't keep watching this. My son enjoyed it.
