Default Battery Relocation?

I am needing to relocate my battery somewhere and am curious as to where any of you guys have put it? Trunk? Also does it effect the power at all with a longer main lead or is it the same? Thanks for everything in advance

What are you doing? I thought you were gonna shave your battery?

Naw, I kidd, I kidd. If you relocate it anywhere, you just have to make sure that you use a thick enough cable to connect it to the alternator(4 ga. amp power cable works fine).

As far as relocation. Remember where your huge ABS unit came out of the trunk? If you bought the slimmer battery styles, like for my civic, and put it in that open space it would be out of the way.

bleh, just my thoughts. Get back to work.

Well I haven't done mine yet, but the trunk is really the main place to relocate it to. Here is a really good write up on battery relocation, hope it helps mang http://www.lunaticfringe.org/v....html

Edit: as far as the battery goes, the biggest concern is CCA and CA (cold cranking amps and cranking amps). The size doesn't matter just as long as it can start the motor with those provided amps, if you live in cold weather (no clue in OR) I have a 600CA and 700 some CCA.

If you buy a slim Optima Yellow Top, you'd be able to do it. Should be fine as far as amps an' stuff goes.

Not like the car's gonna be a daily driver.

Yeah, they make slim Optima's. And Optima's don't die either. It's not like it's gonna be hard on the battery. You don't have power steering, ABS, A/C, whatever else we ripped out. The only thing that will use power is the engine, stereo, and compressor. Oh, and HID's

I would stick with Lightning audio for caps...but yeah they do also make a battery pretty expensive but real strong too

..what are you running?

its actually farad, haha,

but as far as the battery question, the trunk would be the best place, and if you want to do any sanctioned racing you will need it in a battery box i believe. use either 2ga or 4ga wiring. if your spare tire is out, i would put it in there and fabricate something to bolt it down.

Racing is the last thing this accord's gonna be doin'.
