Hey, seing fredosp's queston made me think of my own problem. last weekend i did a jdm d15b vtec swap into my 92 dx hatch. i havent driven it yet cause i got a bad distributor with the motor. but, when i got to the axles, the pass. side went in great. the drivers side went in good to except it seems about a quarter of an inch out. it doesnt leak or anything, but it also hasnt been driven yet. should it go all the way in, or will there be about a quarter inch gap between the tranny and axle? I have puonded the **** out of it hoping to get it in more, but it feels solid as hell.

 

yes there should be a small gap,...yours is fine

 

so its supposed to sit out a little bit, even a quarter of an inch? because theres a pretty good gap there, almost enough for me to get my finger into.

there is supposed to be a gap. when you installed it into the tranny side, ?

 

everyones been saying theres supposed to be a gap there, you know to get the prybar into to pry it out, but this seems like a good gap |_____| About this much

 

so is that gap too much
