Default 99 civic hx question

yea i was wondering how i could rig my car to start without pushing in my clutch i've seen it done before but im just wondering how to do that. and what i need and how to install a kill switch to my car........thanks

You will have to remove the clutch switch...very simple actually.

Just look under the dash and follow up the clutch lever.

When you push it down you will notice a small plunger style switch.

All you need to do is unscrew the switch. The switch will then stay in the open position making the car think you have the clutch pushed in.

That switch is only for the start function or if you have cruise for that as well. If you use the cruise, I wouldn't disconnect this switch. The first time you push in the clutch with the cruise set, bad things will happen It will redline faster than you can react. As far as normal clutch operation, it won't make any difference.

where uder the dash??? could you please be more discriptive? so everything will work the same after i do it? in the long run could it do any damage to my car in any way besides the cruise????
