Default Anyone with a D15B vtec (mini me) quarter mile time / bragging rights

Hey I was wondering if anyone has a civic hatchback or just a civic with a jdm D15b vtec engine....if so how fast does it run a quarter mile....or let me know of cars you've beaten....is it even faster then a D16 vtec or a ZC...?

Ive got a 95 dx coupe with a jdm d15b vtec swapped in. Mods are a short ram intake and apexi n1 cat back exhaust. The only times ive got so far were at the local 8th mile track. best time was a 10.13 at 68 mph with a 2.3 60ft. That was when i was running my dx tranny and p28 ecu, im now running an ex tranny and a chipped p08(jdm d15b vtec ecu) so im sure im in the 9s. As far as bragging rights go, ex's are a joke, havent found one that can stay up with me, even with every bolt on possible. I usually dont have a problem beating 99-00 civic si's with the same mods as me from a roll, if its from a stop i murder them. definately a very impressive motor for money, im currently peicing together a custom d series turbo kit and aiming for 300 whp on stock block.

like i said i just put in a jdm d15b vtec, the dist i got was bad so i have to wait for another one to get here. im so friggin anxious to drive my hatch its not even funny. you said you whip up on 99-00 si's with yours. im on an air force base and there are guys around here who drive si's with bolt ons and think their the **** in the honda community. i just want to show them that knowledge can go farther than money. you said you had a dx tranny, was it just a pig once you got your vtec in? i thought with the taller gears it would haul *** on the freeway cause i know i can go 110 at the top of fourth (with d15b7) but once i put it in fifth, nadda.

The dx tranny kills the motor, the d15b vtec doesnt have a nice powerband untill 5k, after that it starts pulling than about 5600-7400 it pulls rather nicely. When i still had the dx tranny it would fall so low in rpms between shifts that it would take forever to get back into the powerband. The dx 3rd gear was somewhat nice for highway runs, but when i was racing si's they would usually shift twice while i was in 3rd gear. I could go from 70-105 in 3rd LOL where as a si is gonna shift into 3rd at ~65 and into 4th around 80. As far as racing si's be careful some si's can be quick as ****, i have a hard time with I/H/E si's but just I/H doesnt seem to be a problem. Makes me wish i could throw a header on to see how i would stand up but id rather be turbo lol.

well theres on in particular around here i want to beat. the guys got dc header, injen intake and 2.25 exhaust al the way, lowered with black widow body kit. i had a 91 accord with intake and raced him a couple of times. the first was from 45 and he kinda took off from me until around 90, then i started to pull back on him. the second was from 80 and i dropped it into third and just laid the pipe to him. but hes been talkin alotta smack about my 92 dx and i hope i can back it up. the 92 is bare *** stock. one windsield wiper, driverside mirror only, no a\c, no power steering no nothing. im just hoping with intake exhaust, and no cat ill keep up with him with dx tranny.

my d15b with i,h,e, pulleys, high flow cat, cam gear (tuned), and Vafc (tuned) made approx. 123whp and a miserly 98lbs tq. on the dynojet. so they are very good motors.
