Default Tire life expectancy

Maybe this is in the wrong forum, but since I post here most I figured this would be the right place.

I was just curious as to whether or not there were any negative side effects of using an older set of r compound tires that hasn't been run on in a while....~3 years or so??

TIA

probly not ... i am no expert but i dont think tires go bad?

however if they were exposed to the elements and are heat cracked or dry rotting then i would assume not to use them.... if they look fine then hell yeah buRn them

Yeah I went o a few CGI events last year, but unfortunately you weren't at any of them. I did meet a ton of helpful people, however, all of whom knew you

I hope to see you guys a lot this year

Should be fine if they're not dried up and cracked.

...

You should come out w/us to MAM whenever that happens again...as well the Gingerman events. I'd like to finally drive Grattan this year too. Always heard great things about it, and then Ken's vouch for it recently made it even more a "must" for this year.

Depends on how they were stored. If they were stored in a barn, outside, next to a window i wouldnt use them.

If they were stored inside, with some sort of climate control, and in heavy-duty dark trash bags then they will probably be fine.

UV and temperature cycles can be hard on the rubber as its sitting and can make it very hard compared to what it was.
