Default lower compression piston ?

Ive been on a few topics in here about the pro's and con's of higher vs. lower compression pistons. Some people say its best to lower the compression for safer tuning. Other people say how the higher compression pistons give you more power. I know both of these are true, but i was wondering how much of a difference each makes. Ie. how much of a gain will higher compression pistons give. and How much more streetable your tuning can be with lower compression pistons? I don't want to hear about how you can feel the power differnce(butt dyno ). I would like to know facts. Maybe we can get this topic sorted out. Thanks in advance!!!
