Default Toda clutch?

Anyone know about the Toda 3 puck race clutch? Is it too aggresive for daily street use? Or would it be okay since I know it still has springs. Any input would help, thanks.

I know it will be aggressive but I can get this toda 3 puck pressure plate and clutch for $200...so I'm just trying to find out if it's worth it or if my car will drive like ****.

Do you drive on a three puck clutch? Stop making stupid comments. A three puck clutch is definately streetable. I am 17, and have been driving a manual for under a year, but I drive on an 8.8 lb fly, and 3 puck clutch. It took me under an hour to get used to it. No experience with that specific clutch though, but at that price, it is probably worth it. At least worth buying and reselling.

I'm getting it slightly used from my friend, he has a shop called Zerolift Autolab in Cincinnati. Yeah, I'll have that same kind of set-up...light *** Jun ultra lightweight flywheel, and the Toda 3 puck...hopefully I can get used to it in an hour as well. Is there any risk as far as damage to my transmission?

Hehe, I hope not

I would have to say yes because a three puck clutch kinda acts like an on/off switch on the street. The hard engagement has to put significantly more strain on the tranny.

lol it won't damage your transmission as long as you know how to drive

it's going to wear out faster than a 12 year olds crusty underwear.

We ran a Mugen race clutch in an ITR....lasted about 2 months of daily driving before it gave out.

Race clutched are meant for one or 2 events, and then swapped out.

And yes a 3 puck clutch is just stupid for daily driving.
