Hey do you guys think that a 2.3 drop is better than a 2.5or3.0 drop
I have a hatchback and i have a 2.3 drop with progressive springs with dropzone shocks... im wondering if this is a good set up for a b16 sir II coming up (fully built head). I just want my suspension to be in a way reliable with the engine. should i drop it to 2.5 with springs? buy coil-overs? what do you guys think..?? 2.3 not enough? dropping it more improves my performance (handling performance)?
drop it 2.5" and have it aligned with a good quality camber kit and call it a day. If you can afford REAL coilovers buy them.
Remember that motor is heavier than the d-series that you probably have in there now. It will put a little extra weight on the front when you drop it in. Just something to keep in mind. I wouldn't drop it anymore...especially .2 of an inch.
you dont even need a camber kit just take it to a god alignment hsop and get your toe set to "0" and you should be good to roll. also i agree with the 2.5
personally I would go with a 2.29 inch drop, definitly better than 2.30, but 2.31 is better than 2.29............. **** man, it's .2 inches. Who cares.

well what do you mean by real coil-overs? like ground control or skunk 2? i might think about getting dropzone coil-overs, they are a small name group over here in cali but still very respectible as in racing performance.
2.3 compared to a 2.5 is look wise... 2.5 looks better than a 2.3 i know its only .2 inches but hold out your finger and calculate .2 inches and now stick it by the "fender gap" and imagine it disappearing... beautiful
btw are coil-overs as good as springs performance wise?

What the hell are you talking about, lower is not always better. Think about suspension travel.
talk to the guys in tech or roadracing if you want performance help, most of the guys here care about looks and performance. The roadracing, autoX guys care about just performance.

hahaha funny ****, anyways I would save up for full coilover set that way u can adjust the height in the future even if it is .2 inches or whatever.

no camber kit..no camber kit!
you've got to be kidding me on the contrar u do need a camber kit to correct your camber u can go to an alignment shop and correct your toe but i doubt it on your camber. My ride is dropped about 1.2" and i still need a camber kit. As far dropping car keep it as it is more weight more pressure on your shocks think about it!
