Just got rims, car drives funny...
I recently put on rims (2 days ago), and I went and got it aligned... The wheel seems a bit jerky, like sometimes when I go up a small bump, the wheel will jerk a little bit, it drives nothing like it use to with my old tires. Is it just the brand new tires or... BTW, EJ1 94 EX coupe, Kumho 711 tires w/ 17" rims
I hated my 17's for that reason. From the day I put them on, they rode like **** ( 5 Zigen 5zr 17's with Yokohama tires) I finally took them off and sold them and went back to the stock wheels. I like them much better.

low profile tires = better feel and crisp response.... but you sure feel MORE of the road too...
beefy tires = comfort, and they grip more under extreme cases ( asuming stock suspension)... but you get slugish response..
thats the short of it.

hub rings are going to make the wheels feel more balanced. doesn't sound like that is his problem. However he should definately get a set if doesn't already have them.
