Attn: Mase, tuners, Hondata stage2/3b vs s200b or ZdyneGold, which is best for my setup?
I was wondering if anyone would help with advice on which way to go for engine management and good tuners for them I have narrowed it down to these three but I am still stumped on what to go with. First off I have an obd0 b16a, with a greddy turbo kit from a 99 si, type s bov, type 31 fmic, fmu, dsm inj, missing link, walbro 255 in-tank fuel pump. The motor itself has 9:1 srp pistons, eagle rods, str block guard, gsr cams, aem cam gears. For management I am currently using a vafc and stock pr3 ecu. I don't mind switching to obd1 if it will produce better results overall. Would switching to hondata or Zdyne be worth it, I am trying to get between 300-400 whp, Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I originally wanted the ems but I also need a tuner in my area and I don't know of one, plus the I have heard better reviems from hondata and Zdyne users
well. Honestly, I would say talk to whoever is going to tune your car for you.
However, From my understanding, on obd0, you can only use hondata stage 2/3/4 you cannot use their new s100/s200. Which isnt that big a deal.
and of course you could use zdyne w/ obd0.
Now, w/ obd1 if you decided to switch, you would have to switch over to an obd1 distributor, Not hard at all.
w/ obd1 you could run either hondata or the AEM EMS.
I'm a big fan w/ the aem ems myself, Its a bit more work, but has more features. But if your tuner doesnt know what the hell he is doing, he'll never get it to run correctly.
So first, I would talk to whoever is going to tune the car, see what he has to say, then go from there.
Good luck.

I really wouldn't mind switching if it would overall save my money to start offf. The tuner I talked to was all about hondata and just talked down aem and didn't even want to go into the zdyne, I just want the best for my setup and goals.

most people talk down the AEM because they think its too complex, and can not operate the system properly.
what did he say about the AEM EMS?
what did he say about the AEM EMS?
He was telling me that most people who had gotten one were now ditching them for other systems, I plan on just using the car to race on the weekends I also drive it everyday, I would like to get 11 second passes out of it but I know he key is tuning.
