O2 sensor wiring question
I wasn't sure where to post this exactly... so bare with me.
I've taken the primary and secondary O2 sensors from my recently demolished Type-R, and put them in a friends 96 Civic DX (1.5 sohc)...
In order to reach... the cables needed elongating... so from the combined connectors and wiring of his bad sensors and my good ones, we made it work... I think.
My question is, On the sensor there are two black wires, a green and a white.
Are the two black wires the same? In other words, if I accidentally swapped them, would the ECU be upset?
After installing and resetting the ECU, both of his CEL's for (bad CAT, and bad O2) -have gone away. I imagine that if the wiring was crucial, and I got it wrong, I'd know it immediately upon start-up.
yeah?
thanks!

correct.. if you had screwed up the wiring, it most likely would've thrown the CEL immediately.. sounds like everything is a - ok to me..
in the future, put a piece of tape on each side you cut of one of the black wires, to distinguish it from the other.. or do them one at a time..

Black wires are for the heater circuit and can be switched around.
The other two only go one way.
