Got myself a macco paint job (56 no way)
“Uh ooh, better get MAACO” is the commonly heard catch phrase of the globally known autobody/ paint shop. After having my hatchback crashed and stolen in 6-month period I decided to have my repairs done at the shop on Dorr Ave. in Merrifield, VA (mostlt because I work there and its cheaper
). The front-end, dents, and rust (above the rear quarter panels) were all removed and/ or repaired. Below are a couple of picture of my hatch before, during, and after the body work… Hopefully this will change you mind about the quality of MAACO paint jobs (well at least at my location!)
Rust (this was the beginning...was a lot worse)

Damage from my accident

Prep.

In the booth

Painter, Steve applying epoxy primer coat

First coat

Applying the second coat

Finished Product

will keep you posted with more pictures once i am finished taking off the tape and put the car together.....

I don't get it doesn't any wet paint that's not done look "good" ? How can you tell if it's gonna be even semi good or extremely good frmo this picture alone? BTW I think you either got lucky or got ties cause maaco usually just throws the car into the pit and paints it maybe a wash before paint..

Yes there is clear coat and it is mixed in with the paint. Some places do a coat afterwards, but it really does not have any benifits over mixing it in.

MAACO has both single stage and base coat clear coat paint jobs. Within the single stage is acrylic and 100% urethane. My paint job was a single stage urethane. MAACO does professional paint jobs (quality of dealership or better)...At least at my shop
