Default Difference in 88-89 and 90-91 caliper mounting places?

is there any difference. i got some pads that will only work with the 90 to 91 calipers and was wondering if i could just switch the 88 to 89 calipers to the 90 to 91 or will there have to be modification. my only other option is just taking them back. i don't even know if the calipers i have now work so im trying to work with what i got and just get some new ones.

the calipers are different brand and also, the 90-91 are slightly larger and heavier.

89' are stamped 2042 or 2049 and 90' are stamped 16cl13vn. So yeah the calipers are different BUT the knuckles are the same part on a 89' and a 90' crx si. Although the calipers are different it seems like they should bolt to the knuckles the same.

not to jack the post or anything, but i have a 91 DX hatch, and my passenger side front caliper went bad, so i replaced it with a 91 CRX Si caliper which i pulled from the 91 CRX myself.. I was thikning they would be the same....the CRX caliper bolts on and works, but it is different in appearance. Any thoughts on this?

yeah i believe the 90-91 crx si calipers were made by nissin and the 88-89 were made by another company. The nissin calipers are usually found on top models.
