Being that I've never had an OEM strut bar on my R, I have a question that no amount of searching has seemed to answer. Does the OEM strut bar, when mounted, cover the very center of the top of the shock? And if so, how much clearance is there between the shock and the bar? Also, assuming the ITR one does, is there an aftermarket strut bar that doesn't cover the center of the top of the shock?

 

I don't have the Type R bar, but here is a setup that fits... Carbing Type II bar with OEM GS-R bar, also. GS-R bar was even able to clear the ZEAL coilover shock adjustment **** when I installed them.
