Default obd 0 to obd 1 conversion?

i have a 90 civic si that i want to convert to an obd1 ecu so i can use uberdata.

Can this be done by just hacking my own wiring harness adapter?
Like the aftermarket ones are? but for obd0-1 instead of 2-1?

cool; im not really looking for the hardware; im just wondering if its worth it. I have no problems ripping apart wiring harnesses and ecu's to make my own!

I really just wanted to know if it was worth it; and if swapping distributors and installing a 4-wire o2 was a hassle

you obviously has no clue how much work and initial research goes into making one of these. i've made my own obd0--&gt;obd1 adapter and in retrospect, $150 would've been well worth it.

the whole point that you guys are missing is that is JUST A JUMPER HARNESS, that is not a complete obd-1 conversion

I suggest that anyone that thinks that $150 is over priced, to hardwire your car to obd-1 yourself, before you make comments. </TD></TR></TABLE>

were you agreeing with me in your comment? because i basically said the same thing. "try making one yourself before you complain about paying $150." is what i was trying to say.

exactly. No point in spending mega bucks on some wires when i can build the thing for nothing and a trip to a junkyard.

I have quite a bit of soldering experience and I enjoy doing it. I just figured id find an obd1 and obd0 ecu and cut the harness off about a foot from the harness to have enough wire to work with. then make a harness and have soem spares just in case.

on a side note; this 5posts/24hours is really getting on my nerves
but this place is awsome. so much info to be found; its a geeks dream!

Yeah, sorry, i forgot a or a in there. Whoops!

Wrong. I am quite aware of what the harness is. I helped Audipwr1 with his swap, and watched him go through hardwiring his car, for obd1.
$150 is a bargain.</TD></TR></TABLE>

how the **** is this wrong? its a JUMPER HARNESS, so you are telling me that $150 is an ENTIRE ENGINE HARNESS as well? sure bub
