QUESITON about a 2003 Civic DX (base model)
My girlfriend has the car listed above. I want to know if her car is like mine in the sense that a new and better instrument cluster can be swapped out from a higher model Civic? She has a baseline manual (the cluster has no TACH), and was hoping to get one out of a totalled Civic Si or something. Will it work? My Neon (yes, I own a neon) was a baseline cheap-o car too. I was able to get an R/T version cluster to plug and play right into mine though...same thing? Let me know thanks!

I would think that another cluster from a 2-dr coupe would work(EX)..But I thought the dash cluster for the SI was different from the coupe models...
Somebody else might know for sure.

You can swap an 03 or 04 LX or EX cluster in. The LX would be a better option because the EX one has an ABS light in it that would never go off since the car has no ABS. Go over to 7thgencivic.com and search for DX cluster swap. They've got it all figured out.
Right on...thanks guys! I remember I took out a back light when I swapped the R/T version cluster into my neon. So, it's all good. I think it was the ABS too. Again, much thanks!
