Civic with carbs upgrade...
If i swap my dual carb setup with some webbers or mikuni's then what else do i have to upgrade??
Will i get instant power gain or do i have to change the head to get more?
do i have to upgrade the fuel pump and regulator??
If i later do an overbore and upgrade internals then can i just adjust the carbs so they feed more fuel to the bigger capacity motor or do i have to by a new bigger set of carbs again??
Cheers

Fuel pump/regulator depend on your setup...the carb Prelude pump I'm running generates 5-6 psi of fuel pressure. Webers generally prefer 3-3.5 psi so I had to run an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
No need for headwork but it always helps.
Depending on the type of carb, there is a mixture control screw. If that doesn't provide enough tuneability, you can change fuel jets in the carb. You can buy the entire range of fuel jets for a carb for under $75.

So how much of a power gain over standard carbs am i looking at?
Also the standard carbs dont work simultaneously, the second carb only activates at higher rpm, this way at low rpms you get good fuel econ while at higher revs u get more power..
Is this system mechanical or ECU controlled??
so if i do the mod will i be able to replace the standard carbs and maintain that kind of set up?? or do i have to completely replace the carbs and fabricate a new adapter so they can hook up to my engine??
BTW what kind of setup are you running?? and anyone else for that matter, just would like some figures to work with, especially if im gonna be spending a grand or so on mods...
