So if a reputable ehaust fabricator started producing header back systems that were mandrel bent, 2.5", twin loop/twin pass style, with 2.5" resonator (probably magnaflow), 2.5" cat (probably carsound w/ 02 bung), and 2.5" muffler (again probably magnaflow), similar but not identical to a Hytech unit, and reasonably priced, would anyone be interested?
High flow, low sound.
Something like $400-450 for a mild steel version and like around $550-600 for all stainless. Again this is all hypothetical as of now but your opinion matters, so speak up. Thanks, JFoster

Their has not yet been a system put together, but the design is quite similar to a hytech unit, so flow sound and performance should be very close to the same.
I am hoping enough people will post that they would be interested, then I could show the possible producer that there is a demand for such a system. Then maybe there would be a great system on the market for a price the rest of us "not so rich" people could deal with.

Yeah, I am not asking anyone to order before its "out" or anything. No mystery products. Just saying, if this went into production by a reputable source, after it was out and pics and specific specs and all were available, then do you think you would buy one?

Definitely. Some questions first, will there be bottlenecks, like at flanges, or at the back of the muffler? What type of resonator, spiral or straight through, will it be a bolt on to the header, or will welding be required? Ideally 60mm piping should be used but I believe the market for 2.5" exhausts is very limited. I'd buy one.

Yeah. You would order it and install it just like the other systems.

make the 2.5", if its a custom one, making a 60mm is a waste, there are tons out there already 60mm that we can choose from. and the only route for a 2.5" is the local muffler shop. im sure there will be more interest for a custom 2.5", cause if it was a 60mm, people can choose from greddy, rsr, apexi, and the list goes on...

No bottle necks. Straight through resonator. Everything 2.5". Flanges already welded on, bolts up.
It is still just an idea so whether it will header back (including a 2.5" cat) or just a cat back is undecided. Price is also just a guess at this point, but affordable (at least compared to hytech) is the idea.
Correct, 2.5" will perform best on an ITR or modified GSR, especially if the GSR has cams. There are already tons of 60mm one out there. The idea here is to make a 2.5" that people can afford. I didn't pay for a 2.5" collector header to cut it off with small piping.

That sounds like a hella good deal... just the price is gonna push the sale... i'm just a kid in high school, I don't got money, but I need an exhaust!
bump for a good idea
let's see some pictures!

I hear that. I am in college, and would love a hytech system, but it may be a long time before it would be logical for me to spend that much on just exhaust.
I might be interested in it. I'm looking for good quality at a good price. I also dont want to have to take it somewhere to get it welded in place. I want to to just bolt up.
IM me with any updates since I dont usually hand out on this section of H-T.

It's not "bolt-on".
