just got pulled over, again, for another stupid reason. doing 53 in a 45, hardly speeding, especially @ 11:00 pm. But anyway, the dumb cop says "i had to do 90 to catch up to you" which is probably tru, but considering his *** was @ a stop, that doesn't mean ****. then "i paced you doing 75" which is more bullshiet considering i did a pull in 2nd gear, stock valvetrain on s1 tranny...taking my speed up to 60 mph only. i'm sorry, my best friends dad is a cop, but most that i come into contact w/ are seriously ********, and this one tried to play the role of the intimidator as if he were dale earnhart. funny that he put the time that he pulled me over @ 12:30 pm when it was really 11:00 pm.

this is a bold statement...but i have respect for cops....but not for cops that try to make the law, rather than enforce it

UPDATE...
I tried scheduling a court date w/ riverside county courthouse the 12th of july, and it turns out, the numbers they have on their website, dont work at all. like, seriously...they dont. on top of that, some of the courthouse numbers are constantly busy, which is also quite odd...i think they're just not in service. but on top of that still, when i finally got the oppurutnity to put in my case number, and find out more about it, hopefully, it said that the case had be "closed" so i thought, hey...everything had been taken care of. but today, i get a letter saying that basically, nothing did get taken care of, so i had to jet down to court manana on my day off. i HATE automated systems.

1) non current registration:
i can't have my registration 100% current if its not smogged, and since i have to convert to obd I to get a bar sticker so i CAN get smogged. that might be a problem. but certainly not a problem if i already have a request submitted w/ the bureau of automotive repair for financial assistance on SMOG and diagnotic equipment repairs.
2) the speeding:
didn't even have a radar gun...put down 60+ so has no idea. also my friend, speeding in the middle of the day. fought a ticket for 68 in the same area, and won. so 60+ is easy.
3) the non current insurance in the car, he didn't let me look...and didnt' want to "wait" so wrote me up for it anyway.

its in the hole...no worries @ all, but this guy was a big *******. as he's walking away "dont worry, you can challenge this...by going to court on your assigned date, but just to let you know, i have never lost a challenge" the intimidator strikes again...

 

he sounded like a real smart ***, I hate cops like that. go to court that day, and if you win, go to him after court and say "I thought you never lost a challenge."

well it sounds like the time i got pulled over and was asked if i was a gangbanger while i was coming back from work......or wait when i was lectured on why not to flick a cigarette out the window because i could start a fire while it was raining....and then slapped with a $300 fine......or wait the other time i was pulled over for modified turn signals then asked to sit on the curb while he opened my trunk.....mind you I put the stryofoam bumper piece in my trunk...guess what he asked me.....is that a shotgun son? WTF?!?! PROBABLE CAUSE? he had none.....that must've been the "patriot act" before it was signed into law....but i let him since I had nothing to hide. I'm a geek with glasses on with no trace of "gangbanger" attire on....WTF?!?! I love southern california cops....they really don't have anything better to do...especially suburban cops....maybe we should give the l.a. cops a break and reassign all the spoiled suburb cops into the inner city so they do their real job!

Sounds to me like he had a right to pull you over.... 53 in a 45 is speeding you know... Do 45 and he probably won't pull you over next time. That's why the SPEED LIMIT is 45. It's called a limit for a reason. And at 11:00 I'd expect to get pulled over for speeding. Any cop would pull you over....they're hoping you're coming home from a bar. I agree some can be dicks, but they're doing their job. Remember that when you get hit by some guy in an f-350 turbo diesel merely doing 53 in a 45. You'll wish some cop had pulled him over then. Sorry to jump your **** but everyone who gets tickets thinks they're getting picked on... it's called the law, deal with it. I took a friend-of-a-friend home a few months ago because he was too drunk to drive her home, and she was to drunk to drive my car. I had two beers at the party, hardly enough to impair my ability to operate my car, and got popped with speeding, underage, and operating after underage(4 months before I'm 21). That's the 2nd or third time I've ever driven after drinking, but....Did I speed, yes. Did I drink and drive, yes. Did I get popped for all that **** and whine about it, no. Why? Because I knew I broke the law. The cop was ******** to me too, but suck it up. I just paid a $750 retainer to a lawyer with an indefinite fine still coming, not to mention a possible 6 points to my already not-spotless license. All because I was a nice guy and drove her home. Just my .02 . Do the speed limit and you won't have to worry anymore.

I got pulled over for what a cop described as "Fast and Furious driving"...

But I think he was a bit surprised to see a 6'5" 25 year old male with a full goatee sitting behind the wheel, because he seemed to stammer a little when I rolled down my window. Probably was expecting a scrawny 17 year old stunna with 12 unshaven pubic hairs above his lip acting all hard an ****

I didn't get a ticket, despite pulling a u-turn at a no-turn intersection, redlining 1st,2nd and 3rd in a B16 I/H/E with a slight leak at the cat which makes it even louder, and getting up to 95mph on a 45, AND weaving in and out of traffic AND not having a liscence to drive in Massachusets. All of which I was guilty off... hehe

But he was really cool to me the whole time and polite, until he suddenly got real tough when letting me off, he said something like, "I should impound your car right now and haul you off to the station for that stunt you pulled back there. You have two days to get a Mass liscence, and I will be checking on Sunday and if you haven't registered then you will be receiving a summons in the mail. Have a great night." He said that last part like a total ******* *****, I couldn't believe the complete reversal he went through, from nice to uber-*****. But anyway, I got off without a ticket

 

I'd fight that crap. Pacing has tons of variables and crap. Also if you can prove about the time thing, then it might help you out?

i was with my mom and she got pulled doing 55 in a 35 in the GTI (bunch of mods) and the cop came up and when he looked in i think he was dissapointed that it wasnt a "kid" driving. it's an option on alot of new cars, for chevy it's called a smoker's package. for $40 you can buy one from GM parts it includes an ashtray and a cigarette lighter

a lot of cars are now coming with a felt lined tray where there once was an ashtray

dont talk to me like i'm some kind of idiot. i'm well aware what the speed limit is. And during the hours of 4-6 monday this street is the biggest speed trap in corona. (for all you guys that live in the area, you probably know about green river) and i can guarantee that doin 50 in the 45 (Which is the flow of traffic during these hours) will not get you a ticket. Guarantee. Its one thing to give a person a ticket for speeding, but to give me a ticket because i quikly got up from 35-53...and then guesstimate that i was doing 60+...thats complete n' utter bullshiet. but i'm not trippin though, cuz i fight this...i win. not even sweatin it. my friend got a ticket here doin 68 in this same 45...fought it n' won, again a ticket for doin 63...and he fought it n' won.

and for all people sayin 45 is 45, dont do the crime...blah blah blah. get your head out your *** seriously. i dont think there's a cop in southern california, that would (if clocked w/ a gun) give you a ticket for doin 49 in a 45. im sorry, it doesn't happen. they do give you some room for error. so get your heads out your asses, n' stop trying to come off as a hard ***. kripes..

 

How about learn the law and find out exactly how little the radar gun has anything to do with evidence in court when a police officer decides to pull you over. the law has EVERYTHING to do with it.

The speedlimit is 45. "Everyone" is going 55, that doesn't change the law. And, of course, the police officer could pull each and every person over for speeding, but that would give away his super power ability to the public, and we wouldn't want that now.

But i'm sure they tell you you're special right before you step off the short-bus at school every day. If I was a moron and thought that this thread would have any weight in court, I'd save it and send it to the court you're going to. But I won't, because I have faith that you'll do a pretty good job of weeding yourselves out of society. Good luck.
