EG9 with B18C6 pics and Videos
Hi ppl,
I've done my swap, and now have an Integra Type-R B18C6 and gearbox with:
1 - JUN3 camshafts
2 - JUN valve springs
3 - JUN valve retainers
4 - Spoon 2 layer headgasket
5 - TODA racing cam sprockets
6 - Custom 60.3mm Stainless Steel exhaust line and muffler with stock headers
7 - Kenji Plenert chip (this guy rules)
8 - Greddy A/F meter
to cut the bull, let's get ourselfs into some multimedia business (sorry about the darkness):
Photos:
My EG9 front look
My EG9 rear look
ITR steering wheel without SRS
ITR gauge cluster
My Oz SuperLeggera 15" rims with custom color
Videos:
2 and 3 gear to rev limit 9400 true rpm
3 and 4 (the video ends before) gear to rev limit
4 gear to rev limit
The speeds each gear reachs ate the rev limit are aprox:
1 - 70 km/h
2 - 115 km/h
3 - 175 km/h
4 - 230 km/h
5 - XXX km/h
The XXX is just because i never reached the 5 gear rev limit, wich would be about true 280 km/h with some GPS calculations. The maximum speed i've reached was aprox 285 in the speedometer with some 500 more rpms to do to rev limit.
I'll do some complete Video footage when i get my hands on a decent camera. These fotos and Videos where shot with my Nokia 6600.
Some freebies of a friends NSX:
Photo at 310 km/h
Video of it getting to 310 km/h (straight, not down hill)
His top speed is about 320 km/h almost at the rev limit, i'll do some footage of that to.
Cya dudes,
Nuno

I understand you wanting to post all this in here because of your motor but your not going to get a very positive response from a lot of the members of this board. You really wanted to post this in the eg + civic forum.
Vids were cool though man!!!! And the car looks good but not a big fan of the wheels, but then again i cant see them too well either. Cluster looks good for being in a civic.

Agreed,

What the hell is wrong with the people on this board ? He built up a Civic/ITR hybrid just like a lot of other guys. The major part of the work he did was the engine work.. a b18c6 ITR engine.. Modding a b18c6 should be of interest for ITR owners.
The wheels:
Those wheels are very fine lightweight rims, comparable to Kosei K1. It`s a different style compared to (imho boring looking) Volk or spoon wheels. But they are light and that`s what counts finally.
My vote for the car:
Respect.
But I am not a straightline-friend. It`s really hard to believe for me you reach those topspeeds.... indicated 285km/h.. uhmmm
... .. well.. ok. It`s your car and you know what it`s able to do better than me.

any tips on how to do it? im currently using an eg9 cluster on my itr swap and the tach is way off. seems like you used the eg gauge cluster face coz i see two holes for the odo reset button
Superleggera's rock! I wanted some bad, but they are pretty damned expensive (well, for me at least...)
I had to look twice at where you were shifting: 10,000 RPM almost!!!!! When you shift, you are still revving higher than my engine will probably ever see!
Nice!
Ben
