Default F20b, who want one?

I am trying to see if there is a market in the states for the F20b for a friend of mine in New Zealand. When I get an exact price, I will let you know.

If you don't know, an F20b is a 2.0L dohc vtec motor. Very similar to the H22 but with a better r/s ratio and limited slip differential. Rated at 200 hp and 156 ft lbs of torque.

It will bolt into 92+ ludes and 90+ accords.

All the motors have less than 40k on them.

Please do not take this the wrong way, but I think that the F20B swap is NOT one of the better options for the Preludes/Accords.

Why? They are NOT the easiest motors to wire up in the Accord. The ECU schematics are NOT easy to come by for one, and the engine has less displacement than the H22A does.

I'm assuming that this is for Accords? Why would you run one in a Prelude? Replacement for a blown H22A? If you can run the F20B off of the H22A ECU and the F20B is a good bit cheaper than the H22A, then I guess it wouldn't be so bad.

We're swapping in an F20B in an Accord and we can't even find any wiring diagrams for the F20B ECU -- therefore the swap isn't getting done.

Can you get the wiring diagram for the F20B ECU? If so please let me know where. Thanks.

I agree with the wiring issue, but I would really like to get my hands on one, with the ECU/wiring diagram to match of course.

I am just guessing, but I would bet it is VERY similar to 97+ Prelude wiring.

you can just use complete wiring harness from prelude 97+ with H22a ecu without any problems..

this is not a good swap for a prelude though
cause it has a lot less torque and higher in rpm power than the normal h22a

i've thought of doing this swap fwe times.. if there was any way to mod this engine though
it could be a lot better than the h22a

but mugen was developping cams and head parts for this engine and let dropped the project..unfortunatly
( if mugen were doing that it's cause there was a potential)

the only thing that is really good about this engine is the fact that it has a better R/S ratio and better geometry.. it could be tunned to rev as high as B16/b18
therefore producing alot of power

( that's why i wanted to get this engine to replace my h22a )

the only way to tune this engine would be using H22a performance parts
but would have to know before if the parts of the head are compatible ..

anyone could do tests regarding that ??

I don't know a price yet.

The f20b would be one hell of a motor to turbo and throw in a hatch, but so would an h22a.

The head of an h22a and f20b are nearly the same.
