help air fuel gauge install??????????
I am trying to find out which wire is the sending wire on my o2 sensor. i have............. 2 black.... 1 white.... and 1 green.... I am putting a air fuel gauge in and dont know which wire to hook to. also should the gauge do anything without that wire hooked up? I have the hot and ground hooked up but it doesnt do anything. I would greatly apreciate any help that can be offered. Thanks in advance!

You need to let hte car warm up a bit before it starts reading... I belive even if u have it hooked up incorrectly it should still atleast light up. I belive the sending wire is the white. if not its definitly the green
Ok thank you. I just didnt want to start cutting wires. ill try the white one first. i have the pos and neg ran through the stereo pos and neg and my stereo works fine so the gauge should also. maybe the gauge wont work untill it reads somthing. all that lites up is the led bars. Thanks again!!
You realize that by using the stock o2 sensor...your A/F guage is going to be pretty much meaningless? From a tuning standpoint anyways.
The stock narrow band o2 sensor cannot distinguish between lean, and very lean, or rich from very rich. It only reads three things; lean, stoich, and rich.

i might be a noob....but running a air fuel gauge in a EFI car? How do you get results when the computer keeps adjusting, it just bounces everywhere it never stays the same, they were ment for tuning carbed cars not EFI.....Air/fuel guage + EFI = Waste of money

Well you need a wideband o2 sensor...they aren't cheap....

There you can see the difference in voltage output between a wideband and a narrow band o2 sensor...

It is more than just a wideband sensor in that it is also a datalogging system....that will run you about $450 US if you find a good shop, list price is over $600.
These are all personal tuning devices to help you tune your car away from a dyno, something which I have no experience with, and am not very well versed on. I wouldn't consider buying something like this unless you are pretty hardcore and want to tune your car by yourself as much as possible before taking it to the dyno.
