Default Why not to park behind a dumpster.

Had the CRX parked behind a dumpster at work to prevent someone from sliding on the ice into my car...turns out this wasn't a good idea. Someone opened the top of the dumpster and the lid slammed into my hatch glass....soo glad the windows were tinted. Worst part is...I have no idea who did it.

Was going to have work pay for it, soo called up the local glass replacement shop and the guy told me that the glass has a List Price of $1285.00
But because of the business we bring to him, he could have it installed for about $419.XX

He called back about an hour later to say that he can't get the glass, can't even order it from Honda...soo, I'm using the spare hatch I had in the basement. At least it clears out a little bit of room to store more ****.

dude not that it matters, its not like they knew it was gunna go that far back or even hit the car, just a simple my bad from the guy would be sufficent, if anything it was his fault for parking there to begin with.

Those were my exact feelings when it happened.
I would have been fine if someone came up and said something like:
"hey, I'm sorry, I just flipped open the dumpster and smashed your window"
I didn't really care that I had to replace the window, cause I already had a spare one....and I shouldn't have even been storing the car at work to begin with...the boss let me keep it there as a favor.

Try to keep out of harms way, and just end up closer to it.

i semi-feel your hatch mismatched pain

I came out one morning to find my rear glass shattered by an attempt to steal my stereo.

but i didn't have tint so glass was everywhere.
wasn't a fun cleanup, but i had a spare also.

I've already replaced it....started pulling the old hatch last night...finished up by 9:00 this morning after I got to work. Had a spare hatch in my basement.

Found at about 2:30pm...started to disassemble around 5:30pm (including cleaning up all glass) and stopped for the night around 6:45pm. Started back up around 7:00am and had the hatch installed and aligned by 8:45am. Soo, this took about 3 hours out of my life...no biggie...didn't cost me anything either (parts car was given to me).
