Default Thinking about purchasing a Type R

Hi, my names Andrew, im new to the forum's, I live in the Seattle area, just like to say what's up.

I'm thinking of getting a 2001 Type R, jsut because I love integra's and think Type R's are mad sexy, I've seen some going for about 15 grand, is there anything that i should look for, to make sure it's a type r, besides the badges in the correct places, and the beautiful "B18C5". I'm from the Seattle area, and there's an acura dealership trying to pass off a GS-R for a type r, and it's going for close to 32grand. Any input would be most appreciative.

Welcome to H-T.
Be sure to use the search on here, there is so much it will make your head spin!

And as for verifying the car, one way is to run the vin the other way is to search for ways to verify

Be sure you know the history of the vehicle, you don't want to find out a week after you bought it that it was wrecked three times and stolen twice. Also, be sure that if you get one, you can properly protect it. A Type R is considered a rolling bank account to thieves.
