making exhaust louder
i got 2.25 piping all the way back to a ractive muffler. not that loud should i cut the resontor out or will that sound like crap? what bout taking the cat out?

Anyway I run a magnaflow canister muffler with 2.25 piping with stock cat and no resonator and its damn loud. To loud actually Im getting a resonator soon.

Haha now that would throw some serious heat under the hood of the car. I also agree this is kinda a dumb question. The topic title should say "how can make my slow car sound fast" or "how can I make sure I get hassled by the cops"

Personaly a import that is super loud doesn't sound fast. I HATE super loud exhausts. I HATE my exhaust. My muphler fell off and I havn't replaced it yet!!!! it is loud though. I aslo got a bad Cat. luckily I live in Ks. pretty much no emissions that I know of. just the sound.

you should get 8'' piping from cat back which splits to a triple exhaust, then put APC stickers ALL over your car, then if thats not loud enough you can put strobe neons in all different colors around your car, then get a glow in the dark spoiler, and mirors for that super sleeper look, and if thats not enough for you then you must be strait 3fast 3furiouse

About 3 feet past the cat convertor cut the B pipe and trash the other half of the B pipe and muffler. After all is said and done your muffler will be heard at about a 5 block range.

I hear ya! My muffler rusted off the beater a year ago, and it was loud, but not real annoying. Then a few months ago the main connection off the b-pipe rusted off and I was running open manifold. Man that sucked. I kept putting it off becauce it's the beater and I just don't want to spent money on it. I just got that fixed this week and I have to clamp in a new muffler. I hope to get that done somethime next week.

What you do is take the exhaust off, and beat yourself in the head with it. OR, you can get a nice boombox in your car, and play the sound of the exhaust full volume on it, and play the sound of a BOV on you car stereo system. all you have to do is time the exhaust notes with the BOV sounds, and ur set.
