Default Stay with the LS or move to a Type-R?

Here's the situation that i'm in.... recently at my acura dealership i came across a type-R that was just traded in. The dealership put a price tag on the car for $22,000 with 60,000 miles. Now the dilema- My LS has been in the shop for 3 months from rebuilding the head and shipping it off to importbuilders and getting completey done up. I have already spent over $9,000 on my LS and the dealer will give me 7,000 for my car with 90,000 miles on it. What should I do? Stay with the LS? or go Type-R?

Thanks to everyones opinion who replied.

i say stay with the ls, and throw in a b18c5 later down the line. you've already spent 9k on the car.

F%^@ NO STAY WITH THE LS the type-r IS WAY OVER PRICED put it this way you could get one a couple of 6 months ago (when i was searchin for a car) with 30k FOR ONLY 20,000 .... NOW THESE BASTARDS ARE ASKING 22,000 for one with 60k ON IT????

STICK WITH THE LS or buy a type r with alot lower milage for the same price.

I got my gsr for $15,900 USD with 10k on thats right ten thousand miles!!!

I agree, stay with the LS, 'cuz you've already put so much work into it. Type-R might sound nice, but you know you've already got a great car soon as it's back from the shop...

all i can say is that the type r seems WAAY overpriced. $22,000 for a 60,000 miled miles integra?

if you DO really want it you can prolly get ti down to under 16k. i used to work at a car dealership and we LOVED selling used cars cause most the time we make 3-5x more on a used car than a new one. the price on the window is always too high

I dunno guys... it's REALLY temping to me getting that 2000 Type-R. I almost chit my pants when I saw the car... but it feels good knowing that you have a car that only 4,000 ( i think, correct me if i'm wrong) cars made, but then you look at the facts of them being stolen.. i dunno right now what i'm doing. I've got mixed feelings for both the cars yet i need to get my *** in college.

btw- thanks for replying

Can someone tell me the difference between the depreciation of the LS versus the Type-R?

I think i am, but i'm just exploring my options right now. It'd be nice to roll up in a car like that... i'm even considering a gs-r.

If you reall want an ITR, then they can easily be had for much less. I bought my 01 ITR with a clean title and 43,000 miles for $16000, and I've seen several go for better prices than that. As far as keeping your LS, I suggest you test drive the ITR at the dealership and make up your mind which one really fits you, then go from there. Also, if the dealership is offering you $7000, then you could probably sell it outright for $8000.

don't do it.

- you'll have to be more paranoid, it's a target to get jacked
- you've already invested $9000 which doenst include price of the car, and only getting $7000 back, thats just a waste.

I know I'll be loosing money, and the point of it being a target of theft makes me think twice.
