Finally rode my new (to me) 2003 R6!!
No point to this thread but im excited that I actually rode my R6 which i bought 2 1/2 weeks ago. Weather finally warmed up to a crisp 40 degrees, ha. This bike is awesome, so much different than the CBRs. I just LOVE it!!!
Yeah dude I just started riding my 2001 GSX-R600.
I've ridden probably 3 miles so far, I just went to the gas station to put a couple dollars in the tank.
It's crazy dude, you hear all these stories about how 600's lack torque, and while I was keeping the revs under 6k in a matter of seconds after clutchless shifting into 3rd gear I was at 60mph.
My bike is freaking twitchy, and it scares the hell out of me, I've been riding it slow enough into turns that i don't have to counter steer much cause I'm afraid I'm gonna hit a patch of sand and go down.

man how can you ride so little?? The day i bought my bike i rode it for over 8 hours and put over 350 miles on it within those 8 hours, by the end of the first week i had put over 1200 miles on it...I was addicted, I called in sick everyday that week, You riding a mile a day, i dont know how you can do it man.....
I would say it's due to the weather. I just took my new bike out about a month ago, when the weather was around 35-40 degrees, and rode for an hour. I didn't notice the cold until I got home, and my face was numb.
That's what thermals/Under Armour are for.
I ride every day to work and then temp is regularyl in the low 40's to high 30's by the time I leave work at night - no problem and the bike loves the cold air too.

get this, it was a nice 40 degrees out, so i call up my school to ask them if they can have a parking permit for my bike ready. they go "no, you arent allowed to bring your bike to the campus until april and we wont give you a bike pass till then" ive never been so pissed. retards.

They arent kidding when they say the R6 is flickable. Ive ridden every 600cc bike except for the 600RR, and IMO this is by far the best! Its sooooo light and small feels like there is nothing under you, haa. I had to take it out today, after failing my Micro exam I needed to ride, only rode 8 miles but I sure as hell cant wait to get back on it. If yall want to read a good review heres a link, btw, my bikes looks just like that one. http://www.cycleworld.com/inde...wid=6

Thermals alone does not work. I tried on some thermals, long sleeve sweater and a joe rocket mesh jacket. On the freeway i was so cooold my body started twitching. That's why I bought leather jacket
I have ridden my buddy's 600rr around the block and felt more power than mine ('02 F4i). I wonder how the R6 feels????
