If we buy all the swap parts from you how much harder is this swap compared to a B series swap into an EG? What type of re-wiring will have to be done? What are the costs as of now ? What type of axles are used? What shift linkage is used?

I have read the other threads on this topic but information seems to vary. Which is why I am askin in here.

why do people insist on comming into the K20 treads and just messing them up...?

simple answer: WHY NOT?!?!
this swap hasnt been perfected, and mastered by everyone yet... and until it has, dont expect these threads to go away. Common, you still see b-series into civic treads.

K20EG: The title says EF chassis. Can you give a rundown about what you know about that swap?

just curious...but how hard is it to wire up a RSX cluster into a EF if you do a K20 into there? Is it hard to wire or basic plug n play or not even worth it?

hey K20

has a future or possible BAR cert. been discussed with these engines? specifically the exhaust manifold may have to be custom? i may be jumping far ahead but just wondering if you had any information on either your plans or whether these could pass and have a BAR cert. for socal...thanks my appologizes if it has been discussed...

This swap can be reff'd
Here is your solution
04 accord exhaust manifold with cat and 02 sensors
Fuel evaporative system hooked up properly
no check engine light
Given everything else is cool Including the gas cap
Our Pnp harness is fully obd2. The smog ref can plug in his scanner and check everything. This should be the part where he waives you off PASSED
As far as overall emissions go the motor should blow perfect numbers.

Fuel evap system hooked up properly is the clincher here.

The K20 has a lot of things the ECU is going to be looking for.
Besides the EVAP purge control solenoid valve you also have;
EVAP bypass solenoid valve
EVAP control cannister vent shut valve
and fuel tank pressure sensor.

The these item came on 99-00 Civics so it won't be a problem with those cars other than wiring. Some of these items also came on various 96-98 Civics although usually not hatches.

As for 95 and earlier Civics they will have to be retrofitted with everything but the purge control solenoid valve (it's on the K20 throttlebody). I suggest you talk to a SMOG Ref and see what he will be looking for. Don't put it on if he doesn't ask for it, and make sure you go back to the same guy to get checked out.

If you're not in California have Hondata disable OBD2 functions and codes and don't hook them up. The car will pass sniff test.

it better run 12s considering our EP3 ran 13.0 at 2800lbs.

what are you guys doing about the cable to hydro tranny problem for the EF/DA?
-modify the cable to work with the hydro tranny? (bracket so it pulls on it)
-run a complete hydro unit? (lines etc)

and hurry up with the DA mounts already! haha jk i can't wait

I have a nifty little contraption for use with stock cable

The hydro unit would truely be a PITA to install
