B18C1 turbo
Personally, I would just say go with a built B18B instead of a B18C1. Save yourself some money on the motor.

with the money you saved you can resleave and build up the bottom end, and alwasy have the option of going ls-vtech but you wouldnt need to.

Why go all motor on the C1 for? would have gotten better times if going all motor on a C5 though...when I believe the C1 is more for boost

Whats ls-vtech? is that some new phone or something? juss messin
I would go with a fully built D17 bottomend with a Z6 head and ZC pistons dunno what kinda rods to go with though, bore it to like 76mm that would make some awesome power, that is if it will all fit.

You have to be kidding me. My friend did the same thing, but B16 turbo and had to cut out the front sub-frame just to fit both, radiator and intercooler. So I expect this to be the same strategy that I would initially using.

what did you to fit, along with the turbo?

VTEC is played out, though it is good for making hi-rpm power, how many people have setups where they would actually need it? I would opt for the torque from a b18b or even a sohc. Plus, vtec anything will crank the price up significantly, more things can break too.
EDIT: you can get into the 12s with or without vtec. either way, it's gonna cost you.

From: hittin corners so hard you can taste my rims..
take a B16, put a G in internals (pistons, valves) and go 100 shot, and never look back.
i did that for a good year.. then really built a b16 from the bottom up, and went full race.. its great. been at 12's for some time now. never ran a bill over 3K.
