Default Is the 98+ Spec ITR Tranny worth it?

I'm about to swap a JDM ITR motor in my EK and I hit a crossroad.

I can get either swap and there is about $1000 difference between the 2.

My question is this.....is it REALLY worth the extra $1000?

I know the only difference between the 96-97 and the 98+ is the header and transmission.

What do you think?

get a b16 tranny and put a quaife lsd for 850 in it later down the line... thats 150 dollars less and you get a better lsd in the same tranny.

in lamens terms if that seemed to complicated to understand...
