Factory swaybars and models
Anyone have a definitive listing on 88-91 Civic/CRX hatch, 4dr, wagon and which models came with swaybars. Or if this was an option or model specific. The reason is I was wanting to do the ES master kit on my 89 CRX Si and was needing a set of front and rear LCA's to replace the bushings in off the car because my shock bolts on the rear are all frozen. And i assume that the models that didn't have factory sways didn't have the bolt in part on the rear LCA's.Wasn't sure if anyone here knew or not.

That's correct, you'll definitely need rear LCA's from a car that came with a rear swaybar.
Not sure on the other models, but the CRX-Si should have been the only one with 15mm rear bar. HF/DX rear LCA's won't have the threaded holes for the endlinks. Also, you would have to make sure to get '89-'91 CRX-Si LCA's. The '88 Si, will utilize the eyebolt (Type-R) style rear shock attachment, rather than the fork-style on your '89.

You also have to figure out how to attach the brackets the the chassis. From what I have been told (I asked the question a while ago) the holes are there, but they aren't threaded. It's not something easy that you can slip a nut behind either. You would have to cut a hole in the chassisframe rail and somehow get a nut behind it.

this is correct. i put a DA INTEGRA rear sway bar on the car and had to weld the brackets to the chassis as there are holes but no threads.
