Epitaph to Stolen GS-R Story
Many of you offered kind words after my 1997 Integra GS-R was stolen on December 22. I thought I'd let you all know what I'm up to since.
Well, no sign of her after well more than thirty days. My insurance company has offered $8,300 for totalling it. I'm not entirely happy with that, since I think I could have gotten a lot beter (considering the condition the car was actually in). So, I wrote them a letter saying so, and requesting that they ask the Service Manager where I take my car, to ascertain its excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. We'll see.
In the meantime, I bought a 2004 S2000, Silverstone with black/red interior. I've driven her for about the last two weeks now, and couldn't be happier.

Well, all in all, I still would like never to have had my car stolen.
As for plans- man, I can't think of a single thing I want to change on this car. I know there are superchargers out there, but for my daily driver, I just don't think I need that much more power. The handling is great (better roll control than my GS-R with type-R springs, comptech roll bar, and AGX shocks, and fantastic turn-in), and besides, it's kind of nice to have the peace of mind of all-stock for now.

That sucks. My insurance company told me to search ads for other GS-R's comparable to mine. I found a bunch of ads and sent them in. You might try that route. I got a pretty decent settlement. $11,600 for my 98 GS-R with 70K miles back in August.
