2000 accord check engine light

I had the check engine light come on my 2000 accord ex v6 had the code read (p1491) came up. Code interpeted this "EGR Valve Lift Insufficient Detected" .
Few questions?
1.DOes this mean i need a new EGR VALVE? Is it the egr valve?
2.Is it possible that could be cleaned?
3. Is there speacial things to do to install this?Can i reuse the gasket , or does it require a new one

You probably need a new egr valve, and use new gasket.

there is a TSB out for this. and I think honda extended the warranty on this item. check with your dealer and http://www.v6p.net

And also if you haven't registered with http://www.honda.com all you do it type in your vin # and BAM they will mail you maintenance interval coupons, recall info etc.....very helpful and reminding.
