he is on a limited budjet

he already has a sir1 swap and it is a SI
i think all he really needs to do is get
matching fenders and some decent wheels

 

he doesn't know much about cars
i am trying to help him out with learning
but he seems to be burning a lot of bridges
here locally. i am trying to get him
familiarized with this site so he can learn
about what he is talking about and be able to
work on his own car. there are a few people on this site
that know who's car this is and dont say anything
yes he can be a pain in the butt, but so can
everyone else.

i am trying to sell him a different set of wheels
at the moment so he can get those NSX imposter
wheels off (those of you that saw the NSX with
these wheels on it will know what i am talking about)

 

First thing, get rid of those wheels. Tell him go get some Rota's or something not as gleaming. Then paint that fender to match the rest of the car. That should get him on his way on the right path.

yeah, no doubt. My buddy got a set of 15'' knock-off Rota's w/ tires for $600. You can find that stuff for cheap. Whatever you do, <U>don't</U> let him buy altezza's. Those things make the car look cheap as hell.

drop it, rota slips , SI lip an amber bumper lenses will make it look clean

 

He just needs to get some 15's, get amber corner and bumper lenses, and paint the fenders the same color as the car . Then it will be dericed .

 

Those wheels are foul, I almost threw up. To be honest just tell him to get rid of the wheels for now that would make it night and day difference.

the first thing he has to di is get his car running. Chad tried to help him out but he insisted that a sir1 complete dizzy was not worth 250 so he just mailordered a dizzy from some unknown importer

i am seriously doubting helping him because he has made such a bad rep here locally that it would make my standings with people uncomfortable.

new wheels a drop kit and some paint.

then let him do whatever he wants to do to it.

 

change the rims, decent suspension, paint the fender, oem front lip. leave it at that.

from that quarter view i'd say get rid of the dub wannabes. get a new hood, unless he doesnt care for the dings on it. get fender match the rest of the car.

I would just change the wheels

 

Leave the wheels, paint it with bright neon green with large gold metalic paint with some ghost patterns, put on a set of air bags, cut out the shock towers or do whatever necessary to make the car so it can pancake on the ground, put in a 5,000 watt stereo that can't play midrange - only tweets and BOOM, get a 10" exhaust tip and a Flowmaster custom 1.5" exhaust, some ebay strut tower braces, monkey bar C-pillar braces, tow hitch, chrome fender lining, dingo *****, fuzzy dice, spanish rice cooker, 13" black and white TV mounted under the passanger dash with some zip ties and bungee cords, intake, header, platinum spark plugs, 5" tach, JVC radio, Mugen oil cap, and a bunch of TRD and Spoon stickers.

No no no ... oooooh no. That would be ghettofabulous rice. IF he needs a wing he has to get a JDM wing with the LED 3rd brake light. I don't think he will be doing any 1/4 mile racing though or else he would SURELY need a wing. With the setup I suggested he would have the BEST car for Auto-X or Nascar circle track. That's where all the hardcore racers with nawwwws are.

 

ok you guys are all dumb...i think the car is ugly as hell but he seems to like it or he wouldnt have done it. Why not let him be who he is instead of hating for doing what he wanted to do. nothing wrong with his corner and bumper lenses..I think all orange ones would be more rice than oem lenses...I would ditch the rims and slap some gun metal or silver 5 spoked rims in 15'' or 16''..droped on some H&R sports/Koni Struts and that car would be nice

sell those bling wheels
put the stock si wheels back on (even if they are painted black)
buy a set of drop springs and some kyb gr2s with the wheel money
get a front lip from the junkyard for $3

that would make a world of difference...the car appears to be in good shape from the picture.
