Default resonator, yes or no

ok here is the deal, the piping on my custom hks hi-power was made for a del sol so im having it fixed to fit right, i was debating if i should get a resonator put in while im at it... i hear that it cuts out the raspy sound. its only a d-series so its nothing amazingly powerful, i just want a nice clean sound but i dont want to restrict the flow. also should i keep it straight or angle it a little, im really lovin the straight look. any comments, help would be great. thanks.

EDIT: never got around to getting this done, but its offical... being done friday. again i still need to know what size resonator on my d16z6. thanks.

Put on a resonator...that raspy sound sucks...or is that blows?

for resonator, I wish I had one on my hatch, the noise drives me insane, I try to always shift at about 3k just so I don't have to hear the raspy, trust me it's worth it to get rid of the noise.

so how exactly did u get a custom hks hi-power exhaust for your del sol? i thought they didn't make them for del sols. or did you just get custom piping with an hks muffler?

i would get a resonator because those damn raspy sounds sometimes wake me up. since you're just on a D-series (like me) you probably wont even feel the difference.

yea it was custom piping made for a del sol, now itso n my hatch and doesnt fit right, so since im gunna have it fixed i figured i would put in a resonator at the same time.

Im kinda in the same situation except I have a B16A. I have a choice between 14" or 22" resonator. Which would you go with? Thanks.

22" is the one you want. it will still be heard but the tone of it will be deeper

Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, put a resonator on that thing. The restriction it would cause is barely worth mentioning especially for street purposes. Without it your car will definitley sound raspy and lound and will make us all (the honda community) look bad.

Some cat back setups even have two resonators.

For the 2nd guy, I would go with a 22" resonator unless there are space/fitment issues.

get the resonator . you'll love it in the long run after you get tired of hearing your exhaust. loudness isn't great, and it doesn't make you go faster.

installing a resonator will help cut the raspiness of your exhaust. - the longer the better for deeper tone.
